Visage of an Angel
Alright, so Subaru isn't an Angel. He's a Seal. Bite me. Besides, in the light of recent Asuka developments, his impending Angel-dom doesn't seem THAT unlikely... Argh! Need March Asuka updates!
These are skans from the Tokyo Babylon postcards book. They may not be much, but I BENT THE BOOK SPINE TO GET THESE TO YOU. So be appreciative. I don't really care if you steal them. Go right ahead. There are no thumbnails because thumbnails are a total pain, so you get to put up with Meia's commentary instead, yAy.
Anyway, enjoy. Any smudges found on the pictures entirely Meia's fault.
Subaru, in an all-black ensemble, head tilted down slightly and with his eyes closed in that tastefully angsty way, backed by a black silhouette of some country or another. Japan, I think, or maybe not. For some reason that Meia cannot fathom, the background is yellow. Why yellow? Meia doesn't like yellow. It is, however, apart from the yellowness, a muchly sexy picture, hence the filename.
Subaru wearing red jacket/pants with a yellow shirt this time (I pity the boy, fashion victim of Hokuto-chan's that he is...) holding a really, really huge bunch of white roses (I wonder who they're to. Or from. Ehehe.) and with his foot up on a really neat chair, in a rather painful looking pose. Check out the hat.
Another painful-looking pose... Subaru looks bent on throwing his arms out of location. He's glaring rather balefully at the camera... maybe because he HAS thrown his arms out of location. Meia rather likes the colours that he's wearing, a somewhat muted grey-green... The crucifix is rather nice, too. The crosses at his cuffs remind me a bit of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, psychotic priest that he is... Nicholas, I mean. Not Subaru. Note that Subaru's hair actually has SHINE, this time.
It's a Lassie commercial. I swear. A top-view shot of Subaru and Hokuto-chan on a really big cushion that's on top of a six-seater car, with lots of dogs sitting around looking up at them. Don't ask me. Hokuto-chan looks adorable while she's asleep. Note the wine that's behind them. Looks pretty much untouched. I mean, I know you're underage and all, Subaru, but really... there's something called being /too/ obedient, you know?
Close up of Subaru, in the same (or similar) all-black wardrobe, with those huge grey (grey?) eyes and that adorable little smile on his face... Waaaaaah... and holding a sunflower. Meia doesn't like sunflowers, probably for the same reason that she doesn't like yellow. The background is, AGAIN, yellow. Is it me, or is CLAMP fixated?
A HORRIBLE scan. My apologies. As noted, this picture is, ah, very blue. Subaru, blue trenchie/pants, black shirt/gloves, on a blue... well, as far as I can tell, it appears to be a bed. It's a very nice picture, although an oversurfeit of blue (never thought I'd say that... Meia LIKES blue.) and Subaru does look rather adorable...
Ditto above, except with red. A better scan this time, and Subaru's pose looks... well, sexy. Meia doesn't like red that much, though, but it's better than yellow. Sorry, she just doesn't /like/ yellow...
Not ditto above, misfortunately, although it IS very yellow. I suppose you all have heard enough of Meia bashing the colour yellow at this point, so she shall desist. CLAMP... /IS/ fixated. Subaru in black (shiny hair again, hee.) not smiling, although looking sexy in his own rather adorable way, I have no idea what he's doing with his arms. Looks a bit like the macerena, although the macerena didn't exist at the time Tokyo Babylon was in running. I withhold any comments I have on the hat.
The cover to the Postcard book. Subaru in mint-green, holding a darker green box, smiling at the camera. Poor Su-kun looks like he's got a sunburn in this one. (In mid-winter? O.ox) Well, it may not be winter, but he IS holding a huge Christmas-like box, so... Oh, nevermind. A pretty nice pic, apart from sunburn factor.
Well, it's Subaru and Hokuto-chan being... uh, cute. Subaru, looking cutely surprised, giving a Hokuto-chan a hug. Or actually, it looks more like she ran right into him. As outlandish as the costumes she forces Subaru in, however, her own dressing is twice as strange... you have to give her that. Here, she's wearing some manner of... box... thing... and bunny ears. Uh.
Hokuto-chan, in a pink... sweatshirt? Looks a bit like a tennis shirt, and the cap-thing she's wearing only reinforces that, although the skirt is just... odd... carrying a bunch of sunflowers. Meia gags. Rather cute, and I absolutely /love/ those gloves. I want a pair like that myself. Red background.
Are we sensing a trend here? Sei-chan doesn't escape the sunflowers, either, and he's carrying a lot more. Blue suit, light blue background... Not a particularly interesting picture, although Sei-chan /is/ sexy...
Sei-chan and... a stuffed pig. I kid you not. Might recognize this from the colour inserts for volume 2 of the Tokyo Babylon tankouban... Sei-chan, what /were/ you doing in Subaru's bed, anyway?
Sei-chan, leaning in that dangerously sexy manner against a wall, which has posters of Subaru (from the cover of tankouban... five, I think?) pasted on it. Holding a cigarette, and he appears to be shrugging out of a grey trenchcoat... or whatever that mass of grey material on his right arm is. He looks like he's got a lot of white hair in this one. Poor Sei-chan, being a ruthless killer must be a very stressful job... Although he appears to enjoy it.
Sei-chan in that snappy business suit of his again, just... standing... hands in pockets, looking at /something/ off in the distance. Only thing to note in this picture is his shadow, which is long, and uh, red.
Sei-chan, in a red jacket/pants and a green shirt--have a mentioned how sexy I think shirts with buckles like that are? Well, they are. In his friendly-vet mode, smiling at the camera, with a background of milling grey people, carrying a big bunch of tulips wrapped in newspaper. There's a counterpart pic I didn't skan, I think, of Sei-chan in evil assassin mode, sans glasses, with the wilted flowers. Rather nice.
Sei-chan... again... except in monochrome, with a cigarette between his lips and the cigarette packet in his hands, looking out of the corner of his eye in that sexy way, tie loosened... I /like/ this picture. He's in Evil Assassin Mode (tm), because his glasses are in his pocket.
One of the few... well... actually, the /only/ skan from the X Zero artbook. Subaru lighting a cigarette on the street, wearing a tan trenchcoat, with a black, longsleeved shirt inside. I like the picture a lot, a really do. I scanned it to try and make it into a winamp skin, but then I sucked. ^^x Subaru is ver', ver' sexy in this one. Not that he's not sexy in the others, but...
This is all I have. Don't hold your breath for anymore anytime soon, although Meia dearly wishes to scan the Tokyo Babylon artbook and the X Zero artbook, because her scanner is DEAD. It's passed away. It bit the big one. And Meia is NOT HAPPY. |
