In other news, I've been looking for shoujo manga to read lately. I dug up my Nervous Venus (apparently there is a book 6 - WHY DO I NOT HAVE IT >| it hasn't been translated, i think. >|) Mm, I really want to see how it goes.

Hanakimi seems to be wrapping up, which is both a shame and about damn time, considering that Sano already knew Mizuki was a girl from, what, volume 1? I'd reread Fruits Basket, but I got really lost towards the later volumes, and I think I haven't bought the last two or three. I also borrowed Nana off Kaori-chan, and read up to volume 6. There are a few volumes of Parakiss at my place, so I'll probably move on to that after I finish with the Nana I have.

I still feel like reading more shoujo, though, but I don't know many series. What I really want now is manga where the main focus is the relationships between the characters, romantic or otherwise.

* or decent Dante/Trish fic. Or some decent het fic of any Naruto character permutation you care to use. (although i still think sasuke's gay and he and naruto should get MARRIED.. although with what's going on lately, i'm beginning to think that rather less).

Oh look, emails that /aren't/ spam. Watch me not go for the Science Orientation Camp! =D I hate orientations. From many past experiences, they are only excuses to make you stay out in the sun for like the whole day. Half my face peeled off after the NY orientation >:(

Also, I caught up on watching Kenran Butoh Sai today (although god knows why I chose that one, there are other infinitely worthier series that I've been sitting on. maybe because it's brainless fun). Hahahhahahaha DORKS. Everyone in the series is a dork. It's the dorkiest series ever. Its dorkiness knows no bounds.

And Naruto: plz stop breaking my heart kthx

Speaking of brainless fun, I wonder what episode Kyou Kara Maou is subbed up to. What happened to anime.mircx.com?

So ten minutes ago Aine called me and went DUDE GO AND WATCH CHANNEL 8 RIGHT NOW, and I go "...bwuh?", and for no reason fathomable to me, I go downstairs and turn the TV to channel 8. So they're showing Meteor Garden II on TV, I did not know that.

Although I think what she more wanted to show me was HAHAHAHA OMGWTF WHY THE HELL ARE MEIZUO AND LEI IN BED TOGETHER.

I watched Meteor Garden I before. Mostly captivated by the stupidity of its emotional roller coaster, while being very sympathetic to the plight of the other two guys who basically stand by the side and do damage control. But I've been unable to watch MGII because of its EVEN MORE STUPID. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY GO THROUGH ALL THAT IN THE FIRST SERIES SO THAT HE CAN LOSE ALL HIS MEMORIES AND FALL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER GIRL.

At the very least, after all they put us through, the two of them could like STICK TOGETHER, you know. I feel very insulted.

Aine informs me that meizuo crawled into bed with ximen earlier, too. I'm kind of tempted. But, uh, no.

Watched Harry Potter 3 and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and may be going to watch Shrek 2 tomorrow. I think I've watched more movies in this week than in the past year and a half combined, or something.

Harry Potter 3 was okay. Some scenes were left out that I thought were pretty important, but overall I liked it well enough (Hermione really ruled in here, and she and Ron are the cutest things, like, /ever/), although I didn't really agree with Lupin's casting. Somewhere between the second and third movie, Tom Felton became very attractive, somehow. Maybe it's the lack of hairgel this movie.

I liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, though. It's a quirky romance-type movie, more people should go watch it.

So I got attacked by a stealthy ninja movie today... well, it was more like my friend calling me up at around 5.15 or something and making small talk for a while before saying "k i juz got out of camp lets go watch a movie :) :) :)" and I'm like "...now? o.o" and distractedly continue tanking Aine on clocks while checking for movie listings online, still talking on the phone.

And Troy wasn't showing at any decent movie places anymore, and GV Bishan's only showing like, 3 movies now, one of which was Day After Tomorrow at... 5.40pm. So I had to get changed and walk down to J8 and get tickets in, like, 3 minutes.

The movie was quite banal. MANKIND, LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES AND STOP POLLUTING THE ENVIRONMENT BEFORE A DIRECTOR WITH A PENCHANCE FOR DESTROYING THE WORLD (or at least prominent parts of the united states) MAKES A B-MOVIE ABOUT YOU--

...oh, wait.

So me and Aine were watching Naruto. Specifically, the neverending Naruto/Kiba fight, where even the characters were like, "Oh, god, I don't care who wins, can you just END THIS ALREADY >|"

"If I was Kiba, I'd be really annoyed. He just keeps getting up..."

"... ...you know what Naruto should get a job as?"

"... .... .....what do you call those things that keep getting up when you knock them over?"

"A bu dao weng?"

"WEEBLES WOBBLE BUT THEY DON'T FALL DOWN!"

The match before that was the Shikamaru/what'sherface from the sound village team one. I only caught the end of it, but dammit, Shikamaru is so cool.
