Almost skipped class today because it was raining hard at my area, but it let up early enough that I decided I wouldn't be hopelessly late for class if I took a taxi, so in the end I went.

And was not, in fact, late. Which is more than I have managed in a taxi when it /wasn't/ raining, which just goes to show... um... something.

On the way home, though, it was still raining a bit and I had to walk to the MRT station, which, in Orchard, is just kind of gross. I'm not that fussy about walking home in rain near my area, though. Maybe it's all the trees in Orchard. By the same note, I'm always kind of dubious about walking under awnings when it's raining, because you just don't know what is dropping on you from above.

I was taking the MRT because I couldn't get my dad, because I forgot to charge my phone again, and he wasn't picking up when I called from the public phones. >_< I need to stop forgetting to charge my phone, but I only take it out twice a week, and with the chargers and batteries, it's kind of a mix and match. One charger doesn't work, and one battery doesn't work, so you kind of plug it in and hope that the combination is right and that you'll actually have power when you try to use the phone next. I think I'm incapable of socially functioning without a handphone now, and I managed 15 years without one fine.

On the other hand, I found out that you can still get tea from mos five minutes before closing, and am thus 1) mildly caffeinated, and 2) happy.

People are having law and med interviews tomorrow. Good luck to everyone! The pain in the ass involved in trying to get into those faculties is part of why I didn't want to apply. The greater part of why I didn't want to apply being that I don't want to be either a lawyer or a doctor, but well.

So my dad came home with, apparently, a machine to clean glasses with. He says it's for me. I'm not precisely sure what the heck I need with a device that cleans your glasses for you, as a wipe with a t-shirt has always worked for /me/, but well. (if you try that in an opticians, though, they take it away from you with a kind of horror and put it into /their/ machine that cleans glasses for you. well.)

It looks like nothing more than a very small deep fryer. Actually, when my dad first used it, my initial reaction was "What the hell do you want to do to my spectacles, /sterilise/ them?? They're made of plastic!"

My glasses are back, and more or less intact. Although the right lense is really stupendously scratched up.

For some reason, I actually quite like the Seigaku regular's robot dance number. Even though it's, well, dorky, a robot dance number, and really short.

If only because they managed to triple the gay factor in the last twenty seconds. Way to go. It cracked me up, it should be longer!

Also: gamestore did not have the FMA game. I went "blaaaaaaaah" at the gamestore guy, and said "bring it in, I want to play it >____>" he said "it's in japanese!" I said "i'm /learning/ japanese!" he said "buy star ocean 3." I said "I already /have/ star ocean 3". I think I need to locate more game stores in Singapore.

Went out to watch a movie today. Was horribly late because I was stranded due to a sudden super-heavy downpour, and it was still raining when I ventured out to try and flag a taxi, which was empty but did not stop for me, causing me to scream "fucker!" at it in public. What can I say, I was getting wet. >_>; Managed to flag another taxi down shortly after, at least.

Met the others in Kino and picked up a copy of tenipuri 23, then went to look for Maru-ma for Chou-chan, but could not find it. At which point we realised that it was 3.50 and our movie was at 4 and we hadn't bought tickets yet (i was very, very, very late. =__= meh) so we hurried out of Kino and to Lido.

You may notice that I did not mention me queueing to pay for what I wanted to buy, and you would be right. It was only when we reached the basement level of Taka that I realised I had strolled out of Kino still holding tenipuri 23 XD;;; Aren't the security systems supposed to prevent this kind of thing? XD;;;; So I hightailed it back up to Kino to pay for my manga, and the security panels didn't beep when I went in again through the other set of escalators, which makes me wonder why they bothered to shut the lift that went directly to the Kino Japanese section down as a security measure. =__= I liked that lift, too, it was very convenient. Blah.

All in all, it was very uneventful, although extremely embarrassing.

We watched Hidalgo, because Viggo Mortenson was in it. When I asked, before the movie, what it was about, Aine said "Viggo Mortenson." I said "...,". But I quite enjoyed it. I thought it might be some Last Samurai culture-clashing drama with me more or less nonplussed due to not being sure of whether the movie producers were pulling things out of their ass, but it was mostly about horses. Although I suspect the movie producers were still pulling things out of their ass. Viggo Mortenson was very manly, with stubble etc etc, in the movie, and there were a lot of horses, so well. Jo-chan wants to watch Hellboys. A lot, apparently. I'm not quite sure why, as looking at the movie posters, THERE ARE NO PRETTY PEOPLE. Ugly people in funny costumes, yes. BUT NO PRETTY PEOPLE.

Dropped by the CD and gamestore on the way back. The Bishan Sembawang music station sucks too. Just like the Bugis one. In fact, I will extrapolate this to conclude that Sembawang music station in general sucks, and has a stupid name, as when talking about the store and its general location, I look as though I am confused and think that it is in two places at once. Where are the L'arc CDs. I KNOW you carry them. I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY. Reminder to self: make time to go to HMV before Japanese class. =__=x

Bought a couple of games (drakengard and monster hunter) although nothing I really want to play comes out for... a really freakin' long time. They delayed Star Ocean 3 for like, 6 months. And WHERE IS MY XENOSAGA II AND KINGDOM HEARTS II AND SUIKODEN IV. I AM LOOKING AT YOU, JAPAN.

Wonder if my dad's serious about taking me to Japan. I wanna go. Shopping. *__*x If he's not, then maybe I'll pick up the GBA SP that I keep SAYING I'll pick up, but never do. Of course, I keep SAYING that I'll pick up the GBA SP that I keep saying I'll pick up, and I haven't yet. I can afford the system, but I can't afford to buy games for it regularly, so blah anyway.

So I was fully planning on hauling my notebook upstairs yesterday and working a bit on that wanky pretentious Kingdom Hearts fic that I had on the backburner since, oh, I completed the game (and which was mildly hampered by me losing gigantic chunks of it in the great harddrive crash of '03, but i was going to overcome!!111one11, etc etc).

Instead, I read through all of Kristin O's brilliant Sen to Chihiro fic on her site. Repeatedly. Until it was 2am and I went to sleep.

In conclusion: I am a tard.

Meg - What about the Kingdom Hearts/Digimon crossover dream I had once where Daisuke had a keyblade, was involved with Ken, and Takeru became a villain and had a phobia of staircases? I believe it involved Daisuke wanting to make Ken sleep on the couch.

Also, digging around my drawers, I found a set of CDs burned for me by Liz a while back, one of which with a very organized (and with /lyrics/) collection of Initial D music.

How much am I going to be listening to old europop? I think very much.

Now, if only I could locate the CD with the L'arc~en~ciel mp3s, dammit.

I have a mouth ulcer that really hurts, and makes it painful to eat or drink anything, and my lips are so dry that just now I yawned and the skin split and bled, which was not really very pleasant at all. RO is lagging and the most xp I've managed to get today is something like 0.7%.

Meh, I'm going to play FFX-2 now.
