My life is really composed of more than Loki. But... I suppose, not all that much. Dad took me out today and we went to a nice Japanese place where I had raw fish. I like raw fish more than I probably should. <3 <3 <3 And cooked fish, and I was tricked into eating something that I thought was fish, but what one actually ate was mostly the eggs that were inside the fish, and sorry but that's just /gross/.

I have night duty tomorrow. But I went to Jo-chan's the other day and borrowed novels off her, including a vampire story that doesn't contain any gay, so at least I'll have something to do. Although I'm kind of of the opinion that anything involving vampires should at least have /some/ gay in it.

My handphone nearly gave me a heart attack. It fell out of my uniform pocket behind the clothes rack, and I couldn't find it. Which is the problem of setting the phone permanently on vibrate mode, I guess, even if it does minimize the chance of getting into trouble during lessons.

Thor, taking exception to Kou-chan's dad's coffeeshop stealing his customers, tries to steal them back. By assaulting them. Loki and Kou-chan are far more alike than is comforting.

On the plus side, Thor has a customer. On the minus side, that customer is Verdandi.

Verdandi, in three panels, manages to call herself Loki's date, give him a coronary, and drink coffee. All in a day's work.

Verdandi says that if Loki wants information, he has to first save the coffeeshop. Loki is the only person who finds anything strange about this at all.

The sad thing is, Thor really thinks that assaulting customers is the way to get them to patronize your store. Loki, after kicking him in the ass, gets serious. Oh, and Mayura and Reiya appear.

Readers boggle at Verdandi the waitress. So does the salaryman.

People wonder where, exactly, Loki summoned that get-up. Thor is ordered to kill a cockroach.

Loki and Verdandi greet a customer. Or not. Loki also insults one of his elders. Uh... tallers.

Went to Kino and snagged this month's Asuka. They still haven't brought in last month's. Wah.

Also, I saw the DNAngel Illustrations FEDER and snagged it. It's not normal artbook sized, pretty small, but it's still too gorgeous for words. Eeeee.

So I'm reading Lynn Flewelling at the library counter, because I'm serving my duty there... and this guy walks up, and he wants to check out an Asimov, so I just put my book down on the counter and start scanning and stamping the stuff.

It's got a very innocuous cover. Generically fantasy, fairly innocent blurb. I know about that guy, he's a big fantasy and scifi reader, and he's usually reading around the school. So he looks at it, and asks to look at the blurb and asks me where I got it from. And I just show him the pricetag and the back cover, which he looks at for a while, and I say that I got it off my friend.

Then he asks when it was published, and I tell him. Quite a recent book, the first novel was published in about 1996 or so. And I hand his books to him, and he puts the novel down, and goes "Okay, shouldn't be too hard to find," and he walks off. The only thing I can think as he leaves the library is ''...maybe I should have mentioned the gay.''

Doesn't beat the time my seatmate grabbed Zetsuai Bronze off my table and started to film a random page on the inside, though.

Heimdall, you can stop being comic relief anytime now. And start with the, you know, actually Loki-killing bits. Especially the bits with tying up. If there is never an episode with the tossing into ponds and fishing out and tying up, I will be quite displeased. ...that was almost disturbing to say.

But I loved that manga volume, because they were all so cool and it had Kakusei!Loki later on. <3

The Norn are way more creepy than they were in the manga, where they were under Heimdall and were later more cryptic than deadly, and they took away Skuld's giant crush on Loki, which kind of disappointed me because it was too funny for words. Also, the bell sound effect was also quite out of the blue. Also, I'm wondering at the anime's penchance for PUTTING EYES WHERE EYES SHOULD NOT GO.

I feel kind of sorry for Loki. Poor Loki. The boy's got angst.

I didn't use to know what a waffle iron was, so in a game of poetry tag once, I composed an entire poem about one, thinking that it was some strange manner of contraption that... flattened waffles. And it actually rhymed, although the last line didn't scan.

So the fair was... a fair... and I will never get the henna stains off my hands. And I don't even want to know what my mother will say about my school uniform. Although the henna people probably got off easier than the nail art people, who were so busy that it wasn't even funny (at about 3.05, the principal wandered by and we asked if she wanted to get her nails done, and she said, not me but the person i'm with will, and it turns out the next available time for doing nails was at 3.45. a bit embarrassing, that.) and while henna smells fairly appealingly of wet tea, nail varnish and polish remover fumes could probably get a person 1) high, 2) passed out.

What my class is doing for the school tomorrow is so exceedingly girly. I mean, nail painting! And stuff. Everyone was fooling around with the nail polish during the off-time today, and I was buffing my nails under the table while listening to my tutor during Math class. Delightfully girly. <3

Common test results for all the people who don't care: BBCC. The Math tutor scared the hell out of me by making me think that I failed the exam. First he asked me to comment on the paper, then he said that he couldn't believe how some people dropped from a B grade in the previous common test to an F, and then... he started talking about his year 1 classes. For some reason. And about second intake students. While I was face down on the table going "...fuck." But I was relieved when I didn't. Because it would have been exceedingly sad to, not to mention that there would be people who killed me.

Ingrid: Well, actually, I like Freya in the manga but what they made her into in the anime didn't appeal to me all that much. In the manga, Freya is definitely her brother's sister. They deserve each other. She steamrollers over Loki everytime they meet, is terribly outrageous, casually pushes Yamino around, and has been known to do things like send flowers to Loki's house so the deliveryman can throw petals around while they have tea. <3 While I wouldn't choose to inflict her on Loki, I infinitely preferred this to her sudden anime wimpiness. I also missed Loki facefaulting when he asked Thor why Freya wanted to kill him when they first introduced her. "Is it because you jilted her?"

(And while I like Hemuloki, I'd pay to see Koutarou and Loki... or, nah, I wouldn't. But Koutarou is /pretty/. You know, Koutarou and kakusei!Loki would almost be twinsex... ...I'll stop now.)

During Biology lab today, our tutor cut up a heart to demonstrate to us the different parts and thicknesses of the various walls and such. Being the last class to do practical on the last day of the week struck again, and the heart was kind of... not particularly the colour that I heart ought to be. Kind of washed-out and gray, actually, in the bits not covered in a layer of fat ("And what does this layer actually do?" "...protection from cold?" "... ...nice try.") and I wasn't really standing close enough to see much, but that didn't really matter, because I could see enough of my tutor fondling a dead sheep heart for twenty minutes from where I was.

And then, I went to Jo-chan's area and ate sushi and crepes.

So the Econs tutor is with the band people at the esplanade now, and so I can go home at 12, and so there's a library meeting scheduled for five o'clock. Oh, dammit. I don't want to stay, but I didn't go for the last meeting, so I should. This irritates me.

The internet's being sort of hit-and-missy. I was on one of the PCs just now, where lj worked, and egroups worked, but blogger and google and hotmail and ff.n didn't, then ff.n started working and egroups stopped, then google worked and ff.n stopped, then nothing worked, so I switched to this iMac, where at least blogger is functional.

Kind of a slack day today. The GP tutor was away with the choir people for most of the morning, so we went to the library and started looking up lesbians. For class purposes. No, really. That was sort of funny for a bit, especially since MOE blocked a few of the sites we were attempting to access.

Then somehow the person I was working with and I got to talking about Moonchild. She said hyde was a mafia boss, I said that no, I'm pretty sure there's vampires. Then pulled up !supercat's journal to confirm that there /were/ indeed vampires. I want to watch this movie so much. I mean, even though it's probably kind of bad, Gackt! <3 and hyde. <3 and vampires. It's like the producers were wondering just how much gay it was possible to put into a movie without actually having the characters be gay. <3

MaLoki ep 11 is /so bizarre/. Particularly the sudden Ring spoof and... bottle of evil aura? Heimdall? What?

I've decided that Freyr is to Heimdall as Mayura is to Loki. In the "making them do things they would normally otherwise not find themselves even contemplating, getting them into trouble, and generally running right over their protests" part.

So I did not know that there was a cosplay event going on today, but there was, and we went. <3 <3 And we met up with her and her, then her, and then we met up with her and her and her (again! aitakatta yo~~~) and then we watched the cosplay.

In which it was very noisy and sometimes very good and sometimes very bad, although the MC and the band they had there both, sadly enough, fell into the latter category. And she stripped on stage, rather like the opening of FFX-2, only the outfit she had underneath was a different one. And she shook her thang on stage, and after I play more of FFX-2, I will know either how bizarre or in character such a move was. <3

There were a lot of Yunas present. I counted at least four with her costume, and maybe 7 or 8 total. And one of them saw fit to spoil a major plot point of FFX-2 on stage; thank you very much, biftch.

And it was all very fun and sparkly. And then we went and met her at Kino, and wandered around, and I got Comic Blade (<3 <3 <3) and then we went for dinner at Mos with a whole bunch of people and it was all great fun <3 <3 <3. so great to see all of you again. <3 <3 <3 <3

And in public service announcement news, God Child 6 and Fruits Basket 12 are out in Japanese. Lots of Kyou action in Furuba. Whee. <3 <3

So we were playing some more FFX-2 last night (or, well, really just watching the opening for the most part, on accounts of us being irrevocably lost. the opening is so trippy. it never fails to make me gape at how whacked out it is. i love it. <3 <3 <3) because the FFX-2 trailer that came with Unlimited Saga was very inspiring. Pity that the game itself was really kind of bad. Then we played FFX for nostalgia's sake and to show Jo-chan the summons. It's nice to know that the ending can still make me want to bawl like a girl.

So I actually really like Weiss Gluhen, funky new character designs or no. The only thing I really have an issue with is the giant red cross on Youji's chest. (i mean, dude.) But the "it's not a dress. It really isn't." coat thing that Omi has going is fairly attractive, no one doesn't like Aya's new look, and Ken's still cute, even if you could keep cats down the collar of his jacket.

Although Schwarz's new character designs kind of made me laugh. I mean, a monocle? And that hair? and Schuldich wearing yellow?

Nagi has apparently gotten beat up with the sexy stick, though. So people should give me Nagi/Omi stuff in any order. <3 <3

Retail therapy! <3 <3 <3 DNAngel 8 is out (oh, /satoshi/,) and so is Hanakimi 20 (why am i still reading this series? it should have ended ten volumes ago,) and Full Moon wo Sagashite 3 (i really like full moon and i still don't know why. but i like it a lot.) and two volumes of Kagerou Nostalgia--the last volume by the old publisher, Enix, and the restarted series under Comic Blade.

We thought it'd never happen, but! Two volumes! I really like the series, even if it did gain fame amongst us as 'the only shounen manga, /ever/, to have male tentacle rape in the first volume. /chibi/ male tentacle rape, no less. But even with that, it's still a good series.

I'm going to get googled something awful for that, aren't I.
