Okay, so today we dissected sheep kidneys in Biology lab, and it's probably the official grossest thing I have ever done in my life. The teacher wouldn't let us use gloves because she wanted us to feel the texture of the different parts, and because our lab is the last period on Friday, we're the absolute last class to have practicals. Meaning, the kidneys were something like a week old. >.>;;x I had to wash my hands four or five times with soap.

But "Bring on the kidneys!" would be a really good battle cry. Or band name.

In other news, I just remembered that I hadn't finished reading Full Moon wo Sagashite yet, so I did so. I actually really, really like it. It's so damn quirky. <3 But they need to translate faster, because they're only up to the second volume, and there's, what, five in Japanese already?

It's still too hot to do anything. Played badminton during PE today, only it was a very bad game of badminton because of all the wind.

This week has been a complete write-off, mostly. Mostly because of the heat. It's supposed to continue for a month. *whimper* They did not deign to switch the LT a/c on for half an hour or so this morning, leading to a room full of rather miserable students fanning themselves with their notes more than writing things on it. There's Singaporean weather, and there's... just ridiculous.

And then there was a two hour Biology tutorial today, because there wasn't any practical. I spent a good amount of it gazing mournfully at the Dark Lord of Derkholm, which I started in Math. Mm, Diana Wynne Jones. Read a bit of her this week, went through Hexwood and Year of the Griffin (which is the sequel to dark lord of derkholm, yeah, i know) which I liked. Although Hexwood had a few too many twists in space-time for me to really get by just reading through once.

Pass me Howl's Moving Castle, someone. <3

College day. I wore a tie! For the first time in a year and a half. Or longer. Probably longer. I used to be quite adept at entering the hall for assembly without wearing a tie, and not getting caught.

('course, if i did get caught, it didn't matter because i never served my detentions anyway. when you skip detention, they slap you with another slip. i think i started a collection.)

I don't know who the hell's great idea it was to match granite with bright red.

When I wasn't dozing off during the speeches, I think I was thinking about boys having sex. I'm going to hell.

The harmonica band reminds me strongly of videogame music. That's slightly unfortunate.

So I was innocently brushing my teeth when I accidentally did something to the ulcer I have from accidentally biting my lip sometime back, resulting in it bleeding copiously.

Xenogears cracks me up, and I love it oh, so very much.

'course, the world would be better without godawful PS voiceacting. Then again, PS2 games can have pretty damn bad voiceacting, too.

On one hand, playing games in my parents' room means that my grandmother won't make noise at me for the TV, and I can turn the a/c on.

On the other hand, they always seem to have things to say. And it can be slightly embarrassing, like running Raiden around naked in MGS2 while my mother was ironing clothes and watching. She was boggling earlier at Fei in his gear trying to beat up a big cannon, while my dad thinks that the graphics are bad.

...yeah.

So yesterday I stayed up until past midnight doing my stupid GP essay which was crap and I was stoned for most of the day. I'm no good at functioning with no sleep. I faceplanted for half an hour during lunch and managed to doze until I was half-dreaming something incredibly trippy involving the worst set of crossovers ever. When I was supposed to be studying for a Bio quiz. ...which we didn't have. Thank god.

And when I dropped by the gamestore, the guy said that .hack//mutation might be coming in tomorrow. Augh.

That is to say, uh, did my five items today, somehow managed to pull a leg muscle doing the standing broad jump ('*thud*' 'ah! fuck!') but it's okay now (i have no idea how i managed that) and I am a complete failure at arm exercises, but what's new?

Three quarters of the class has to re-do it, anyway, considering that most people didn't make the standing broad jump cut. I pass, but not according to /them/ I don't, so... uh, blah. Whatever.

Also got this month's Asuka. On Saturday, actually. A bit late, but well. It comes with the CUTEST DAMN DAISUKE SHITAJIKI ever known to mankind, I love that boy so much. <3 However, I am wondering just what the /hell/ is going on with DNAngel, but considering that just flipping through it without reading is enough to make me hyperventilate with laughter... ...well.

The sudden new Dark/Risa angle is still kind of... /.../. Sugisaki-sensei needs to impart more sparkly SatDai goodness. Dammit.

So the DivX player has decided not to play anymore sound, and since it's the only reliable player on this system whatsoever, uh... blargh. Nothing I've tried did any good. ...blargh.

So I watched Loki 4 without any sound, and it was nonetheless very cute. <3 Frey next episode. Frey Frey Frey. <3 <3 <3

Also went and watched X2 with Aine and Jo-chan on Saturday, and it was very fun. It made me nostalgic for the old cartoons... again. Anyway. <3 I didn't notice that Ian McKellan was actually Magneto until somewhere towards the very end, at which I went '...' at, but I thought he was a very cool and elegant old villain. <3

the dog and kung fu hamster, both of which have no redeeming value apart from showing that I like taking pictures of fake animals. The kungfu hamster moves and plays "Kung-fu Fighting" if you mess around with it. Someone brought it to school, and it was an object of amusement for a while. I think it was set down in a corridor once and drew a crowd involving teachers as well. ...it cracks me up.

I have two mouth ulcers in the wierdest places I've ever gotten them. One's on the roof of my mouth, near my throat, and /that's/ never happened before. The other one is on my tongue, which isn't as wierd, but /still/. I'm not sure if I want to go gargle with salt yet.
