Thursday

10:55 PM

Oh, and from this months absolutely gorgeous DNAngel, we learn that...

...Yukiru-sensei is taking a /five. month. break./

Is she /TRYING/ to kill us?!

Scans from the previous two months... sometime else. Gorgeous, though. This months X chapter features Karen, Seiichirou, and Nataku, and was okay, I guess. X fails to capture my interest much, these days, unless they manage to pull off an incredible save within the final volumes. This month's Asuka also comes with a calendar featuring pictures from various artists, and is Cool, yes. The Kamui picture is very pitty, especially. Mmmm.

10:35 PM

(Oh, and Thursday? 11 people stayed for the rest of the day, which is exactly half the class. Bad us. Delinquent us. I wonder how many will actually come on Monday?)

10:34 PM

Well, the results are in.

I'm not pregnant.

... ...Well, /I/ thought it was funny.

Pretty okay, I guess. Considering. Uh. Considering my F9 in History. I'm going to kill myself. >.>;x Thank god for Literature. Maybe if I'm really, really lucky, you'll see me where you are. Really lucky. Eee.

Tuesday

8:48 PM

GP presentation. Bah. Terribly unprepared, fudged through my second half of things without even getting to the conclusion (because it was basically three full pages of china's cultural revolution, ending with a short note of 'see, this is why communism doesn't work', which was the entire point), and I am incredibly bad with public speaking. Like, physical shaking type bad. And I was. >.>;x And we had to give the money back! Kind of funny seeing the looks on my classmate's faces when we gave them each back $2, though. (t'was a point on communism's ideas that was being made, the 'each person getting what they need' thing'. would have given $4 each, but we didn't have enough $2 notes)

And I passed my Biology test! By all of a mark and a half. I suck. For some reason, even though I expected my essays to pull me /down/, they're what got me out of red mark zone, even though I didn't finish all of half of the second essay. Worth 12 marks. Gah. I thought I wouldn't do well at /all/ in them, considering the practice essays we did for our tutorial, which I did awfully on. But I managed, somehow, to get a mark for every paragraph I wrote, so it wasn't altogether bad.

Halfway during the break after the bio lecture, when we'd finished eating and were just hanging about the table and talking, we spotted around half the guys in the class making a break for it with their bags. Apparently they were skipping the rest of the day's lessons (math, chinese, and chemistry) and going out. After much deliberation, we decided to mass-defect, too. I think about seven people in the class stayed? Bad us.

Ended up walking around in Orchard (without any money, on my part. that wasn't much fun, i saw some stuff i wanted. bah), had ice-cream, met Aine...

Results out Thursday. Ee.

Monday

7:14 PM

Instead of actual conditioning during PE today, we played silly games, in which my class lost everything quite badly. But it was relaxing enough doing this rather than running rounds about the track.

My GP project is due to be presented tomorrow, and my group is /entirely/ unprepared, since we picked a difficult slant of a difficult topic. Or a not-so-difficult topic, because it's just politics from 1940s to present day, and instead of doing wars like most of the other people, we're doing political ideologies/government systems. Problem is, we've finally decided to tone down and simplify what we were originally going to do, /today/. Which leaves, oh, t-minus several hours or so to get everything prepared all over again.

But during the actual presentation, I get to do this thing where I steal everybody's money, with backup from my teacher to make my classmates hand their wallets over. Hee.

Sunday

9:09 PM

So in lieu of... anything, pic!

Ignore the hack colouring job. Except the pants were even /more/ of an utter, absolute failure before the hack colouring job, this reminds me just why I gave up anything more than a little doodling on my school work in the first place. And the chair... well, it's about the same colour as the chair in the picture I was working off for the pose. Just... uglier.

...

SkyDragone: (And my knee itches. Terribly. As does my elbow, to a lesser degree.)
FlamebyrdSwan: Ugh. But hey, you can make bad puns about counting in Japanese.
SkyDragone: Bad puns about counting?
FlamebyrdSwan: Mm. Itchy knee...

You're very bad, Liz.

I Am A: True Neutral Elf Ranger Bard

Alignment:
True Neutral characters are very rare. They believe that balance is the most important thing, and will not side with any other force. They will do whatever is necessary to preserve that balance, even if it means switching allegiances suddenly.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently conccern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Find out What D&D Character Are You?, courtesy of NeppyMan!

Neutral Good and True Neutral nearly tied on my results. Hmm. Elf, though? Me?

9:20 PM

And I finished my puzzle, and framed it, too! It got a little interesting in the store, because there are two sizes of thousand piece jigsaw puzzles available, and correspondingly, two sizes of frames, and I had to call home to ask my grandmother to help me check. And I didn't know how to say jigsaw puzzle in Chinese. It was like... in very bad Chinese and broken Cantonese and English,

"Can you go upstairs and help me look at the box for the jigsaw puzzle? What do you mean you don't know what a jigsaw puzzle is? You know, that... thing... on my table? The one with all those pieces? It's that... really big thing on my table! No, not my stuffed toy! ... ...I know it's got 1000 pieces, I meant, the numbers on the side! The small ones, one is 75, the other is 50 or 52..."

Got through eventually, though. It was sort of funny. Well, now it's funny, then, I was studying all the boxes of jigsaws in the store to see if any had the words jigsaw puzzle in Chinese on them.

4:10 PM

Today in Chinese, we talked about, in no particular order, the four great beauties of China ("who's the fourth?" "fann wong."), amusement park rides, ghost stories, the Singapore Air Force, porn, and politics.

I love my teacher.

Wednesday

9:56 PM

Public service announcement! Yuki Kaori's Count Cain series has been republished, so 1-6 are now fully available. Mmmm. Shinynew! Didn't have enough to get the whole thing, but then I got me a copy of book 5 and 3, which Aine promptly carted off. Book 3, at least. Mm, gorgeous.

My class lost miserably at frisbee today, against another class. But it was sort of fun, except for the bits where the frisbee smacks into your hand when you're trying to catch it one handed, and numbs the entire thing. And the bit where I crashed into another person during play and went down on sandy ground, getting a nice scrape on elbow and knee. But fun.

Played a bit more FF9 with Aine, did more jigsaw puzzle, yadda (making good progress on that thing. little more than a quarter to go, and i'm done, nyo), and we fooled around with a new universe idea. The usual.

My principal likes making speeches. A lot.

Monday

7:31 PM

Shi-chan? *hugs*

7:27 PM

Kit, it's like of tangy-sour, with a bitter tinge and a really wierd aftertaste. Not something I'd recommend drinking, but hey. I have an ingrained dislike of NaOH, it's all bitter and soapy. Bleh. There was a point in time last year where we would wash our hands on HCl to get rid of the NaOH, because it takes forever to get rid of under the taps. (red ink turns funny colours? any combinations to share? the most i ever got to mixing around chemicals is systematically dumping portions of every bench chemical into a test tube, to look at the pretty colours. well, sometimes, there are pretty colours. depending on the order they were put in.)

Speaking of taps, I never did mention the time when we turned on the tap in the lab, in this school, and the water came out /brown/. Not just a brownish tinge, full-scale, muddy-like brown. We had to let it run for a couple of minutes, but we couldn't get it any clearer than a /really/ awful shade of yellow. Lucky we weren't doing any experiments on that day, but we were practicing with lab equipment, and pipetting that stuff up was... interesting.

7:18 PM

Grandmother cooked porridge, and I squirmed out of dinner obligations with my relatives by pleading biology test. I'm not anti-social, no, really. But I /am/ still in my PE attire, entirely unprepared for that thing, and have downed two bowls of duck porridge, anyway. Mm, nice.

Ganked off NK. Hee.

4:34 PM

I itch. And I'm terribly disgusted at my Chemistry teacher, who chose to inform us that the chemical we were handling was highly poisonous /after/ we'd finished preparing our solution. Because I don't make a habit out of eating chemicals (except i did taste bench hcl and naoh in secondary school, but bench chems are pretty safe. hcl tastes really funny) in lab, but some people hold that kind of warning important, you know. I mean, what if there was an accident? Dumbass. >.>x

But oh well. My sister leaves tonight. Or rather, tomorrow early morning, but I'll be asleep by then, anyway. So tonight.

Sunday

3:54 PM

The Carpal Tunnel game! Man, real killing was never this hard on the fingers.

Saturday

3:03 PM

Went out and had lunch with Aine, found a bunch of Angel Sanc drama CDs at Game Tokyo and bought a couple. Hell arc. Fun.

In other news, it has been decided that my right shoe is Angel. No, in fact, don't ask.

Thursday

7:43 PM

And, just because,

A GREEN Dragon Lies Beneath!

I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Green Dragon on the inside. My Inner Dragon is the embodiment of Nature and the Earth. Greens spend almost all of their time below the canopy or just above the treetops in tropical rain forests. Not a bad life considering every other creature in the forest looks up to me, figurativly and literally. I speak the language of every animal and plant in my domain and know most of them by first name. If people mess with my forests, I'm more than happy to wail on their puny butts. Because of my protector/caretaker role, I am the Earth Elemental dragon.

Naturally my whole life pretty much revolves around the other couple million species I keep an eye on, but that's not my whole dragon. I also like to like to impose my steadfast will on others, commune with Nature, and lobby governments for alternative fuels and conservation. My favorable attributes are gemstones, mountains, caves, soil, respect, endurance, responsibility, prosperity, and purpose in life. Folks shouldn't get the idea I'm a hippy push-over though, because my breath weapon is a nasty Fire/Acid combination. Maybe I should invest in a hemp shirt reading "Don't knock my smock, or I'll clean your clock." *wink*

Ganked from Kit. (Psst, want to go out, sometime? Haven't seen you for a while.)

Cell ultrastructure sucks. >.>x

5:53 PM

I am bad. So bad. I absolutely hate people and animals. In fact, I probably sacrifice them. No one likes me, but of course it isn't my fault. I should just go back to New York because I am a corrupt Jesus.

Take the What Jesus Would You Be? Quiz

...Hee hee.

Dropped by J8 for a while with Aine, picked up a nice 500 piece Yuna jigsaw puzzle, now watch me as I amazingly, uh, fail to complete it. There's a 1000 piece languishing on my table now. Actually, it's Jo-chan's, so I really ought to complete it. I'm only a third through, the entire puzzle is pretty much... blue... so it's sort of hard. I hope I haven't lost any pieces, 'cos if I have, I'd have to kill myself. >.>;x

1:41 PM

Happy belated Chinese New Year. And, well, Valentine's Day.

They were showing a Micheal Jackson special on TV yesterday. Words cannot express how incredibly I was disturbed by my mother grooving along to it.

It was a fun-nish new year, went to Jo-chan's place yesterday and ate stuff and played blackjack with candy for stakes, except we kept eating the bank. And my other friend was biting her stakes into two while they were still in the wrapper, to denote half stakes and to annoy Jo-chan.

They had a fire drill at school today. Considering the mess and blockages all over the place on the way to the field, I figure we'd all be dead by the time we were halfway there, in the event of a real fire. Depending on the fire.

Monday

8:26 PM

More domesticity! For some reason, I take my sister's orders when she tells me to sweep the floor. Except I wasn't very good at it. And there's still upstairs to go, rah.

6:00 PM

Yesterday was spent in eerie baking domesticity. Four hours of playing around with mixing dough and stuff, and maybe we shouldn't have used self-raising flour for cookies, because they sort of all puffed up and looked kinda funny. But they turned out okay enough, and were edible, and tossing big balls of dough back and forth was surprisingly therapeutic. Buttery, though, I must have washed my hands more times yesterday than I have the entire week.

My friend's dog is incredibly cute. I mean, except for the bits where we have to try and get him out of the way when we're opening the oven door, and when we have to wash our hands /again/ every time we give in and pet him, and everytime we nearly tripped because he was underfoot. (and my friend was exasperated everytime i diagnosed him with a psychological disorder. but i swear, he's got add) Really cute, kind of foxish, all skinny and furry. Shetland sheepdog or something, not particularly big, but pretty and lean. I want a dog like that, except no pets in the house, so I don't know what my sister's going to do when she's done studying over there.

Surprisingly enough, we sold all the cookies, even the last batch which was for us and not for sale. Because we literally put in all the leftover ingredients in it, the almonds, chocolate chips, and such, and they were very chunky and odd. We should at least break even, which is cool. Didn't think they'd sell much.

Went to CC earlier with Aine and found the first part of that latest Kenshin OAV thing, watched a couple minutes of it earlier. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Since when did /Yahiko/ gain a sexy voice? And what on earth is going on? And Kenta's growing up very nicely indeed, oh yes...

Sunday

12:25 AM

Big family-type dinner party thing at my place today. Hung around downstairs for a while and watched my cousin do card tricks (which weren't too bad, considering the last time he tried to show me card tricks, except for the bits where he dropped all the cards and failed at misdirection and forgot that the angle of his hand if he wanted to hide a card should be different if i'm sitting and he's standing. okay, so maybe they were kinda bad. but the ones which worked were pretty fun), then went upstairs and we played some DMC. And Dragon Rage. Which is fun, because I get to play as a dragon and shoot fireballs, but the announcer is irritating and the controls are terrible, which detracts lots from the nifty-factor of controlling a big orange wingey dragon.

Got Nebagiba! off Aine-chan, too. Haven't finished reading it yet, I think I'm going to re-read Houshin Engi from the beginning sometime. Good series, mm.

Saturday

11:39 AM

More on the 'my school is kinda dumb' front, whoever heard of Math tests in lecture theatre with /communal benches/? Irritating lecture theatre, too. For some strange, unfathomable reason, the tables slant. At enough of an angle that anything heavier than a sheet of paper slides off and falls to the ground. I mean, tables are for putting things /on/, not for sliding them /off/.

Friday

5:48 PM

So my sister's been back for a day, and already she's managed to block the passage to my bed with her luggage, leave her underwear on the bathroom table, eat my Pocky, order me off the computer, insult my underthings, and commandeer the PSX while calling for me to fix it everytime it seizes up.

I love her.

(no, really. she's cool. and she got me a hedwig plushie! white snowy owl plushie that's going to get /so/ dirty in 18th storey dust._

Thursday

8:58 PM

And in other news, the idea of sending a party to grovel at the principal for a bio/econs class to be created went and got started today. Lots of people were interested, if the show of hands at the lecture theatre was any indication, and if it goes through, even if I have to stay, at least I'll get the combination I want. This is Good Thing.

And The Bed is still not cleared, sisterly arrival pending t minus, oh, forty five minutes or so? I am so screwed.

8:55 PM

There's a fanfic in the Fruits Basket section of ff.n.

It's called "Catch the Tiger by the Tail". The summary goes, 'Haru returns home one day only to find an unexpected guest in b/w his sheets ^^;'.

The only tiger in Furuba is the... what, six year old semi-mute kid girl?

The 'fic is labeled NC-17.

Do we see a problem here, ladies and gentlemen? I'm not even going to /try/ to see if my suspicions are confirmed here. >.>;;x

Wednesday

8:53 PM

And I just found out that the cleaning lady took out EVERY SINGLE THING in my display cupboard and dumped them all into a basket. Well, granted, she was cleaning, but rarr. Those things in there were... not very organized, but still, y'know! I mean, I've been adding and arranging that shelf for the better part of at least six years, no one touches it but me. >.>x And I had tonnes of loose stones lying about on the case, so there's no way of telling if I'm missing any. >.>x

Grahh. Oh well. I hate New Year springcleaning.

6:33 PM

The JC2s had to go for a seminar thing today, some pretty important affair, apparently, all formal and serious and stuff. And so they were supposed to leave at 10.40am, halfway during school.

And so we passed by the parade square on the way to CT, and saw several classes of JC2 students standing neatly about the back half, while a class milled at the front, where a long row of chairs, two abreast, were arranged. And they were getting seated.

Apparently, they were /rehearsing/. To /get on the bus/.

/Bus-rehearsal/. I was snarking all the way to class at that one. This school is /so/ incredibly dorky. I mean, that was funny, but dorky.

Tuesday

8:24 PM

So Aine asked what time a certain TV show was airing today, and I promptly laughed my ass off at her.

Let it never be said that I am not supportive. Pfahahah.

4:28 PM

I got to use the words 'skanky bitch ho' relevantly in a discussion during GP today. I'm more amused than I should be, but then hey, it's the little things in life. *niko*

And now, I get to look for a picture or text I find beautiful. *blink* What to do, what to do... cliche, cheesy, or pretentious? Hmm.

Read the random shonen-ai manga I picked up the other day, which is more pre-slash than anything else, and isn't remarkable. But very fluffy and cute. And the art's pretty enough.

Monday

6:59 PM

Public service announcement, Gohou Drug and Eva 7 are available in Chinese in, well, some shops, at least. Namely the one near Aine's place, the one which sells both new and second-hand comics. The paper quality of Gohou Drug's pretty bad, but then the story's still all good. Fun. Is it still running, by the way?

And for some reason, Chuang Yi is now publishing Chobits. Without the nifty thick matte cover, just the normal thin glossy ones. I'm not impressed, but oh well.

Then I staggered home after PE today, thudded for a bit, and had to get up for math tuition. During the course of which I made enough careless mistakes to fail an O-level paper. I feel stupid.

*poing* More Strings of Fate!

Sunday

1:32 PM

*waves* Sorry late reply, Tsukineko. ^___^x Yeah, it's been a while. How's it going over there?

My sister's coming back next week, the 7th. The Bed is still, well, The Bed.

...This should be interesting.

Went to the ACJC funfair thing yesterday, which was quite interesting. Ate lots of junk and some cute cupcake things. And failed miserably at darts. OOC quote of the day was "I think this means you're symbolically having sex with their school." To explain would spoil it.

Picked up a book on mixing cocktails, just because. And also got a pint of Haagen Daz green tea ice-cream, which should be fun.
