Normality

Tsukishiro Yukito and Kinomoto Touya were two perfectly ordinary seventeen year old high-schoolers who happened to be good friends. They did the things that all /really/ good friends did--they ate together, had class together, went out together, studied together, and occasionally slept together.

They also happened to be the idols of the entire female population of their school (and half the male population, but that's not important), which wasn't exactly an odd thing to anybody except perhaps a certain little sister, but she isn't important either.

One of them also had the bad habit of turning into a tall, slender, rather twiglike, girlier-than-thou bishounen with floor-sweeping white hair and wings, and a former-Master complex. The other saw dead people. That was not to say that he had an interest in grave-robbing, nor was forensic pathology or morgue custodianism on his long list of part time jobs--the dead people he saw were more along the lines of incorpereal, feetless, generally transparent beings. And no, he wasn't a junkie, either.

Normally, this might have caused some concern on the parts of his parents, but since his father was half of the mitosistical reincarnation of one of the most powerful magicians ever, and since he rarely spoke to his mother (who happened to be dead,) and since their /other/ child--the aforementioned little sister--occasionally dressed up in outlandish costumes one would best describe as "floofy" (which wasn't exactly her fault,) and rode around town on a flying stick in the company of a fixated classmate and a talking stuffed animal, transforming supernatural occurances into cards (which /was/ her fault,)... well, you'll find that there really wasn't anything they could say.

But apart from that, they were perfectly normal.

        Really.
